To kill some time today (it was ridiculously humid which makes for a crabby and useless Yui) I played The Sims 3 for a while. At first I had a hard time holding interest in the game but after fixing up their house I was feeling a little more optimistic. I ended up playing for about five or six hours and the second generation has finally become a teen.

I seem to spend way more time on getting them up the career ladder than anything, which does get repetitive of course, but after a while I tried to focus more on the family. I'm currently trying to get the family above a little girl. They've had three boys and if the next one is too, well, she better be up for another round =P
Holy crap, that's quite the novel right there.

Apparently, watermelons will raise your chances to have girls, while apples will raise your chance to have boys. Which makes sense because one of my families had all boys (5 of them, ugh!) and pretty much subsisted on apple pancakes, ha ha.
