Previously in the Ducharme household some relationships were broken but mended with a little ass (let's be honest, it
does help, does it not? xD) and the girls made some friends from school. Layla had a handsome redhead stalker but was quickly left behind when she
spent more time looking at herself in the mirror than hanging out with him proved to be overdramatic for him. Bonkers grew up and went a little mad destroying furntiure and sucking up for cheezburgers, while the girls pleased their father getting scholarships.
You're probably not surprised to see that Bonkers continued his drug induced craziness.
Someone kicked over the trash can and gave the family roaches.
Finding a treasure chest worth $5,000 sort of remedies the discomfort, though. I dug a huge pond a couple summers ago... where was my chest?? =(
They received a pool for their efforts. Cassie is the only one that ever used it. In the middle of winter, no less.

Jasper's birthday. Or at least it was before THIS FUCKING COMPUTER CRASHED TWICE SENDING HIM TO THE CAKE! No more birthday parties for you!
Jasper feels it's time for The Talk. Layla would like to hang herself now.
They go out to enjoy the new snow.
Or at least she does. I'm calling this payback for that awkward dinner conversation.
Some minor changes to the house. Moved the bathroom over on the ground floor to make room for a hallway to the back yard, and dropped in a small bathroom for the girls upstairs. There's a lot less bitching and moaning now =P
Jasper finally aged. Thank you for not crashing this time...

Sierra sits down and starts her novel. I remember something about the city and missles, but I don't remember the title. Meh.
Now that Jasper has aged I thought it was time to send the girls to college. I couldn't see myself waiting the extra five days.
Poor Jasper wasn't at the curb in time to say goodbye.
It didn't seem to bother him all that much, before long he moved on to make out with the wife. In front of the damn door so their other daughter had to catch the cab from the back door -.-
Neither of them were there to see her off. she looks so sad; poor Layla =( *huggles*
Layla arrives in La Fiesta Tech first. She looks pretty good for the most part.
Until you see her from the side. Her eyes bug out strangely =/ Still, I guess it could have been worse.
Cass more or less looks the same.
Her clothes on the other hand, fucking gross.
First order of business as college students? New clothes. Screw declaring a major or getting to class. Cassie's clothes are a tragedy! xD
Layla does all the browsing while Cassie stands there like an idiot.
She's quickly reminded that her friend count is pretty low and vows to change it shortly.
The girls are quite enjoying their new clothes and independent lives.
On the way to buy cell phones the girls pass by a coffee kiosk. Quite suitable, yes? His name is Ravi.
Layla calls home while Cassie pretends to not have noticed Ravi.
Though she ends up over there soon enough.
Seems they get along pretty well.
Ravi: I'm totally handy. Like, you don't even know.
Cassie: OMG that's perfect! My father will love you!
Layla: I don't know, mom, you looked like you swallowed a soccer ball when you were carrying us. Do we have to keep discussing this? You look great now.
I have no idea why Layla just suddenly dropped in the middle of the road to do sit ups...
This guy couldn't tell her enough she sucked at freestyling.
Back at the dorm the mascot and cheerleaders are driving everyone crazy.
But even they have to sit down to work themselves. Hmm, culinary. Nice =)
Layla gets right to mingling while Cass has her first class. OH YEAH! I completely forgot to tell you what their majors are. Cassie: literature, Layla: drama. She ought to do well, am I right? Lol xD
Cassie comes home and looked around for birds.
Somehow she sees one in the wall of the dorm, hmm.
Once Layla is back from her own class they start a group study session. It was fine until the mascot sat down. Omg, he seriously creeps me out =/ It's the eyes I think.
Layla's quest for attention whorage continues. Unfortunately most of the time they don't pay any attention to her.
Back in Belladonna Cove Jasper is trying to max out his skills. He can knock mechanical off that list.
Sierra gets word back on her novel. Kaching!
She sits down to read a copy and is surprised to find she wrote such drivel xD

Sierra's birthday comes along three days after the girls move out.

A storm rolls in and stupid up there thinks it's a good time to start tending the apple tree. She's lucky she didn't get struck. I almost wish she was.
Cassie kills time with one of the dormies waiting for her final to start. Yes... I sent them when they were caught up. I'm not playing it at normal speed because I would most assuredly give up on the legacy.
Layla does the same.

Cass heads back out to the marketplace to see Ravi BECAUSE THE GAME IS STUPID AND WONT LET ME CALL HIM >.< Seriously, wth?

Ravi: ILU. Let's get married and have 39766589 babies.
She couldn't do anything without him watching her like that. D'aww, it's too bad they can't really be together =(

Cassie's room makeover. I ran out of money after starting Layla's room so there's nothing to show yet.
I still don't know who I want to be heir. In all honesty I spent all the time sending them to classes and studying so their true personalities still didn't come out. I think this next semester I'll mostly let them do what they want.
And completely unrelated to the legacy or even the sims, I had to change my theme. I got so sick of looking at it. I know it's a lot like many other dw's but meh, it works for me.

Date: 2010-03-28 07:30 pm (UTC)I was just thinking about the aging and clothes. I wonder if you have a dresser with some clothes for the oncoming life stage in their inventory if they'd change into something they already have. Would certainly save us from the fug, lol.
The only thing I don't like about her room is all the brown, but I didn't think it would be very realistic (not that the game is anyway, lol) for them to be able to paint and change carpeting. I figured this way is more like adapting her personality to a lifeless space. Layla's room is more girly.
