fadeintoyouMy world still doesn't have a name, but some buildings have gone up and I've decided to show a handful of pics. Man do I have a long way to go! -.-

First up, the city hall. It took me forever to be happy with the flowerbeds in front of the retaining wall. I'm really horrible with landscaping in this game and it takes about four times longer than it should.
It is the city hall building that came with LN. I figured seeing that the world is on the small side it would be best to combine locations. This one has the military base and police station, too. Also, ignore the blank mountains behind it. I'm having trouble making forests and such look realistic.
Across the river is a tight block of houses around a park, a bookstore, and a beauty salon/tattoo parlor.
The bottom floor is home to the beauty salon where people can get makeovers. There's a fake hair salon area (I felt it was necessary), waiting room, and two makeover rooms. Oh yeah, and the bathroom, lol. Upstairs is the tattoo parlor but there's not much to show yet, it's rather underwhelming.
The idea was to look like two small businesses moved into a building that was previously a home that someone chose to rezone, thus looking like the other houses in the area.
I'll post pics from the two houses another time. One is finished and the other is pissing me off. I have a hell of a time finding decent wood floors... at this rate they all pretty much look the same! -.-
While working on the city hall I stopped to look at some of the decorative items and set these two statues side by side. I lol'd. Does it not look like he's frowning on her offering of fruit, instead telling her to get in the kitchen and make him a sandwich?? Seriously, look at that face! xD
